About Early Childhood Development
As parents we often wonder, “Is my child’s behavior normal?” Discerning between an age appropriate behavior and one that may be cause for concern can be complicated; the additional layer of adoption can complicate things further. Early childhood developmental milestones can provide a benchmark for what behavior is typically associated with chronological age but often times a child who has experienced trauma, grief and loss get “stuck” at a developmental age as a result of the trauma. Parenting a child who is “stuck” can look different than parenting other children.
Right Turn® has compiled a bank of resources that we hope will provide some clarity & help families find the best resources and support to meet their child's needs.
